The last three years have seen the activity flourish in Pokhara, and it now is an internationally recognized destination for free- flight enthusiasts

Ultra Light Aircraft

ultra light aircraft Ultra light aircraft was introduced in Nepal in 1996, and the tour operator like us has been offering sightseeing tours in the Pokhara valley. The choice of Pokhara for ultra- light aircraft is appropriate chiefly because of the proximity of the mountain, and the scenic lakes. For those who wish they could fly like birds, this flight is a must. Leave your woes behind on earth, soar to heights, bathe in the clouds, reach out for the mountains and kiss the azure sky. It might be lonely at the top, but the spectacular view from high up there certainly makes up for everything.

Through the company Hike Nepal Ltd we operate flights from the Pokhara airport beginning September through June. The flights take place from sunrise to 11 am and from 3 p.m to sunset every day during these mounts. Three different routes are taken:

Bungee Jumping

The unlimate thrill of a bungy jump can now be experienced in Nepal at perhaps the best site in the world. Ultimate Bungy at The Last Resort in Nepal may be the most spectacular Bungy Jump on the Planet. This remarkable 500ft (160m) drop into the Bhoti Kosi River gorge on the Nepal/Tibet border is the longest Free-fall in the world. Designed, constructed and operated by very experienced Kiwis to exacting international standards your safety is guaranteed. It is Nepal's Ultimate Rush. Located a 3 hr drive from Kathmandu and 100km northeast to within 12km of the Tibet border, there is a 166m wide steel suspension bridge over the Bhoti Kosi River gorge and at an of altitude 3600 feet, which is 600 feet lower than Kathmandu. The Bridge: Swiss designed, especially for bungy jumping with a 4x safety factor, the bridge has a loading factor of 41,500kg or 4.5 tones. And those are Swiss measurements!

Nepal’s first bungy jumping site is situated over the wild Bhote Kosi river, and located close to the Nepal- Tibet border, a three – hour bus ride from Kathmandu.

The beautiful valley is home to the dense forests surrounding the cliff top gorge. The tedious trip is well worth it just for the spectacular view, which many consider to be one of the most beautiful in the world. One can stay here overnight and go rafting and rock climbing too. The opportunities for adventure in the world’s most spectacular mountains are not to be missed.

Mountain Flight

mountain flightOne of the best ways to get close to the Himalaya, and to Everest in particular, is to take a mountain flight. Lasting an hour they offer an incredible close-up views of the awesome peaks.

Flights from Kathmandu reveal the eastern Himalaya. Flights from Pokhara take you on a bird's eye view of the western Himalaya. In just a short time, you will be experiencing the Himalayas at such close range it will seem as though you could reach out and touch them. There before your eyes is the world's tallest mountain, Everest at 8848m (29,028ft). Among spectacular panoramic views of the 850 mountains over 6000 meters (19,680ft), you will see Kanchenjunga (8586m/ 28,162ft), Makalu (8463m/ 27,766ft), Lothse (8400m/ 27,940ft) and Manaslu (8165m/ 26,781ft). This is a sure way to touch any visitor's heart and to give great pleasure.

The flights are operated every morning from Kathmandu airport which fly at an average altitude of 6,500 - 7,000 meters. Circling Mount Amadabalm to enter the Khumbu valley we take the passengers almost five nautical miles from the highest peak in the world Mt. Everest (weather permitting). This flight usually lasts for about an hour. We provide each passenger with individual window seats (guaranteed) during the entire flight. Moreover all our passengers are invited to the cockpit from where they can take some spectacular pictures of the worlds tallest mountains.
